Welcome to Walking With Wildflowers

If you find inspiration and guidance in the wild, untamed corners of the world, you have found a kindred spirit. Through this publication, we will celebrate the wild spirit that is calling us out of our comfort zone and into the wilderness - both literal and metaphorical.

I chose the name Walking with Wildflowers because I have spent 20+ years coaching amazing spiritual and social entrepreneurs who have often responded to a voice calling from the wilderness that spoke to the wild, untamed corners of their own souls. With little or no institutional backing and without a clear understanding of where the journey will lead, some step out with boldness, but many with fear and trembling. Like a dandelion pushing through the cracks in the sidewalk, I have witnessed them make a way out of no way.

In my own journey as a social and spiritual entrepreneur, I have read many books, attended many conferences, and taken a multitude of classes. These are all helpful, especially when you are at the beginning of the journey into the unknown. However, the greatest guidance and sustaining force has come from sitting in wild spaces and paying attention to what the universe is trying to say to me at that specific moment in time, then finding the courage to act upon what I hear. I am most often drawn to beauty, especially beauty that shows up in unexpected places.

In addition to sharing the stories and insights from the wildflowers (both literal and metaphorical), I will be sharing experiences and learnings from my own journey as a contemplative activist, most often through an eco-spiritual lens, and will be inviting others to do the same.
