Hearing the sound of the genuine within ourselves seems to be a challenge. It is difficult to find the quiet and space without pruning away many of the distractions from the world.
Dan - Do you have a copy already or do you need time to get a copy? I started a discussion over on Facebook a few weeks ago and it has been really insightful.
I don't have a copy, I have been looking around to see if I can find a Library copy or something. We are into serious down sizing, and books are the hardest to part with so .. anyway.
When is the next/first? session? and are we starting at the beginning or what is the calling question?
I actually started this conversation initially on Facebook two weeks ago. I was hoping I would get enough folks on Substack to do a second group, but so far it is just you and me. Are you on Facebook? I could loop you into that online discussion.
I don't use FB. I did for awhile and then went off for security reasons given where I was working internationally. Then awhile ago I was told I was banned, peculiar seeing as I hadn't used it for a couple years. So that's where I am at with FB.
Don't worry about me. It is an interesting topic but I don't need to tie up your valuable time with one person.
PS I am glad you listen to Jill, if I had come out as a girl, that is what my mom planned to name me. :-)
Dan - I figured out how to publish a post that does not go out to everyone, and I will share it in the chat for those who want to follow along. It really is no trouble to simply copy and paste what I am sharing on Facebook on a post here, and it would actually be a helpful way of curating the materials into one post that I can then share at the end, along with the video of our conversation. It would be great to have you add your voice as you move through the materials. I am planning to have a live discussion after we get through the whole book, which will be in a month or so. So you have plenty of time to get the book, read it and join in the online and Zoom conversations.
Yes the link from your last message worked but somehow my direct replies to you don't go through but here at this location they seem to.
Odd, I’m still figuring out how to use Substack

I love the image of pruning to find what is genuine!
Yes, I would be interested in this discussion/book group depending on timing.

Dan - Can you let me know if you can access this post?
I will use the comments section on this post to pull together the insights from folks reading on both platforms.
